While trying to practice some Self-Care, Laura and Tais met in San Francisco, CA through a Book Club. From the very first day there was a common attraction to each other; perhaps because of their Latin background, or maybe a common interest in self-care and the endless search for balance that inspired a bond and friendship… Truth be told, there was a mutual yearning for balance and self-care, something preached by both but rarely practiced. For most Latino Women, “that’s just the way it is”. How many women struggling with this same dilemma can relate?
After several years of friendship, and on the verge of burning out during the Pandemic, life added yet another role, being a full-time teacher. It was out of a need to somehow aggregate self-care into already jammed schedules that led to the decision to develop a special blend of Shower Steamers. Recognizing the need for self-care, even if it meant in small increments, such as soothing scents with a purpose, became crucial. The Atma Botanica Shower Steamer was born to do exactly that. It does not add to an already packed schedule, but instead, it aggregates to the day by simply reminding you that you matter, that you are loved, and that you are worth it. The infused aromatherapy steamers will be a gentle reminder and guide to a beautiful start to the day or, to a relaxing and soothing night of sleep.
With the Busy Mom in mind, the brand Atma Botanica was created. Hundreds of hours were spent testing and retesting, double, triple, quadruple checking, that our shower steamers will truly provide a quick and effective way to practice self-love and self-care. The ultimate goal and hope are to bring joy to every moment of the experience, rather it is a short or prolonged one.
